MAY RECAP

Gonna miss this goof like crazy the next 21 months.  Can't believe how lucky we've been.

38 DAYS.

Hooooly guacamole 38 days!

Dear Mom,

We played with tennis balls, golf clubs, fire, & gasoline.  Promise we were safe(...ish).  But my life is 110% better because of it, so there is a bright side to this dangerous stunt.

love,
Your daughter (that you're always proud of no matter what she may do)

Dear Everyone-else,

I have done a lot of stupid things - climbed outside a moving car, explored abandoned buildings, scaled highway bridges across rivers, climbed precarious heights I should not have, etc. - but this one takes the cake.  The rush of an exploding tennis ball less that a foot from your body is more thrilling than I ever expected!  Definitely recommend it.  If you're interested in starting a flaming tennis ball club, contact me.  We'll sort out the details.

TESSA'S BIRTHDAY WEEKEND

Nate & I went up to the 'ville for Tessa's 19th!  She knew I was coming up for the weekend, but had no clue Nathan was coming as well.  She was so stoked when she saw  him in her kitchen.  Maybe I'll upload the video of it sometime.

We went canoeing on the lake, even with the rain & cold winds.  We have endured worse, so it was a piece of cake.  Tess & Nate climbed trees in the lake while I held the fort (boat) down.  A few close calls, but everyone stayed dry for the most part.

Just chilling with them was the best.  Only missing Caiden, but we're patient & can wait til 2017 for all of us to be together again.  It's such a special friendship that words constantly fail to describe.  We rely so much on one another despite so many things working against our friendships.  The synergy Heavenly Father has blessed us with is incredible, they strengthen my testimony more than I could have ever imagined.  They are all such forces for good, I can't wait to see what else He has in store for them.  "Blessed with the best" is what the kids these days say, right?

ADIOS, ELDER!

So grateful for these kids.  Sunday, at Caiden's farewell, was the last time the four of us will be together for 3 years.

may recap

Tessa's a high school graduate (more than I can say)!  My best friend is moving on to greater things & I couldn't be prouder!  The years to come will be even better than what we've experienced so far.  She's such a force for good, and I can't wait to witness all she does.
I spent the week following her graduation with her & her family.  It was fun finally spending time with Tess in her home, after a year of her always visiting me.

We drove south for Caiden's graduation after a week with Tessa.  After his graduation, we went to his home for a graduation party.  Then the after-after party (name that show & we'll be best friends) was going out on the farm & riding a cow.  For those of you not in the midwest, cows are covered in flies & spit & grass & mud & all sorts of crap (literally).  I loved the experience, but it will (probably) never happen again.
